Meet the Founder

Sherieen L. Glast is the founder of Glast Consulting and a nonprofit leader with more than a decade of experience in organizational leadership. Her career has taken her across frontline, management, and senior leadership roles, giving her a firsthand understanding of the relationship between employees, supervisors, leadership, and organizational systems.

The Experience Behind the Work

Sherieen's journey across frontline, management, and senior leadership roles shaped how she understands leadership and organizational effectiveness. Working across different levels of an organization gave her insight into how policies and leadership decisions translate into employees' day-to-day experiences.

That experience strengthened her belief that effective workplace practices require more than policies on paper. Clear expectations, consistent supervision, meaningful feedback, accountability, and support all play a role in whether employees are positioned to succeed.

Why Black Women

As a Black woman who has navigated the workplace across different levels of an organization, Sherieen brings both professional experience and personal perspective to her commitment to improving workplace experiences and outcomes for Black women.

Her work is informed by an understanding of the systemic barriers Black women can encounter, including racial and gender bias, harmful stereotypes, inconsistent feedback, limited support, and barriers to professional growth and advancement.

She is committed to helping create workplaces where Black women can contribute authentically, be recognized for their expertise, and have meaningful opportunities to thrive personally and professionally.

Sherieen believes meaningful change happens when organizations are willing to examine not only what their policies say, but how their practices actually operate.

Her approach centers authenticity, transparency, accountability, and the recognition of human value. She believes organizations can strengthen both performance and employee experience when leadership and workplace practices work together to create clarity, consistency, and support.
